Our Project Games for Health

Group project as part of the National Simon Bolivar Project, Supreme Happiness Social section, which aims is provides comprehensive care to people with disabilities. The research is part of Public Health.

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service at the Hospital J.M. de los Ríos in Caracas, serves children aged between 2 and 16 years old who have lesions in the central nervous system that cause motor dysfunction in the upper limbs. Rehabilitation therapies are required based on edge computer technologies for use in the Service.

That is the reason in the project who wants to create a platform for neuromotor rehabilitation of infant and young patients with motor impairments of the upper limbs using techniques based on Virtual Reality.

The project is funded by the National Endowment for Science, Technology and Innovation (FONACIT, in spanish), agency of the Popular Power for Science, Technology and Innovation. Project number: 2012000979.
